Free email list cleaner
Paste a list of email addresses and get back a cleaned version: duplicates removed, malformed addresses split out, common domain typos fixed, and role accounts and throwaway-inbox domains flagged. It runs entirely in your browser, so your list is never uploaded anywhere.
What it does
- Syntax check against the practical rules most mail systems accept: one @, a sensible local part, a dotted domain with a letters-only ending.
- Duplicates are removed case-insensitively, because the domain part is never case sensitive and almost every provider ignores case in the name too.
- Typo fixes for the usual misspellings of gmail, hotmail, yahoo, outlook and icloud (for example gmial.com, hotmial.com, outlook.con). Fixes are applied to the cleaned list and listed so you can review them.
- Role accounts such as admin@, info@, support@ or noreply@ are flagged. They reach a team or a robot rather than a person, so they are poor targets for newsletters and often hurt engagement.
- Throwaway domains from a short built-in list of well-known disposable inbox services (mailinator, guerrillamail, 10minutemail and similar) are flagged.
What it cannot tell you
This tool only looks at the text of each address. It does not check whether the domain really receives mail, and no tool can confirm from the outside that a particular mailbox exists without sending to it. The built-in disposable list is deliberately short (about 25 well-known services); the full list used by the paid API has roughly 400 domains and also matches subdomains.
Need to check addresses as people sign up?
Cleaning a list once is useful, but bad addresses keep arriving. The MailGate Email Check API does the same checks at signup time and adds a live MX lookup, so you can reject domains that cannot receive mail. You can try it free, 20 checks a day with no signup.
