Free LocalBusiness schema generator for local trades

Fill in your business details and copy ready-to-paste JSON-LD that follows Google's LocalBusiness structured data guidance: the most specific type, name and address (required), and telephone, geo, hours and price range (recommended). It runs in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored.

Leave the weekend times empty to use the same hours as weekdays.

Where it goes

Paste the copied block inside the <head> of your home page (and contact page if you like). Then test it with Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema.org validator. Google needs at least a name and a postal address; telephone, geo, opening hours and price range are recommended and help match your page to your Google Business Profile.

Rules this generator follows

  • Most specific type. Google recommends the most specific LocalBusiness subtype, so pick Plumber rather than a generic type when it fits. Trades without their own type (cleaning, for example) use HomeAndConstructionBusiness.
  • Coordinates need precision. Latitude and longitude should have at least five decimal places; shorter values are dropped here with a note.
  • Safe to paste. The output escapes the less-than sign as \u003c, so a business name containing script tags cannot break out of the script block. Latitude must be within 90 and longitude within 180, and closing times must be after opening times.
  • Hours. Use the weekend fields if Saturday and Sunday differ, or tick the 24-hour box only if you really answer round the clock.
  • No reviews or ratings. Only add review markup for real reviews that are visible on the page. This tool never creates them.
  • Match your listing. Name, address and phone should be identical to your Google Business Profile.

Building a whole site for a trade? The Callout Kit includes this markup already wired into three complete sites, and you can see part of it in the live demo.
