Turnkeep
A fair on-call and duty rota for small teams. Add your people, their leave and your holidays, preview a plan that counts weekends and holidays as heavier days and remembers who has already carried the load, and record swaps so nobody has to remember who covered for whom. Turnkeep does not page anyone: it plans, records and publishes the rota, and your existing alerting does the rest.
How it works
- Create a free workspace. You get a private link to keep: there is no email and no password.
- Add your people (a part-timer can take a smaller share), their leave and the holidays that count extra.
- Preview a plan for the next weeks. Apply it when it looks right. Swap a shift when plans change and the swap is recorded.
- Check the fairness table now and then: points, weekend and holiday days, and who is above or below their fair share.
What is kept, and what is not
We keep the names, leave dates, holidays, shifts and swap notes you type, and the time of each save. We do not keep an email address. Your IP address is used only to limit how many workspaces one network can create in a day, as a keyed hash that is deleted the same day. A workspace link is the only key to your data, so anyone who has it can read and change your rotas. Turnkeep is a planning aid. It is not legal or employment advice: working-time and on-call pay rules vary and are for your team to check. Old shifts drop off after the history window of your plan (28 days free, 400 days paid).
Free and paid
The free plan covers one rota with up to 4 people, planning up to 8 weeks ahead and 28 days of fairness history, with the full planner, swaps and downloads. The paid plan is $6 a month for the whole team (not per person): up to 25 people on each of 5 rotas, planning up to 57 weeks ahead, 400 days of history, live calendar links, a link per person and a who-is-on-now link. See the plan. Try the free one-off generator without a workspace.
