Every row is sourced

Each round links to the public article(s) it came from, so you can check any figure in one click and cite it in a deck or memo.

Who actually led

The investor table is built from the rounds: Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India led 9 announced rounds this year. A firm counts as lead only where a source says it led. Sort by rounds led and filter by stage or country.

Honest about gaps

For January to June the file has 80 equity rounds, against 217 counted by DealStreetAsia/Kickstart and 127 by Tracxn: it holds announced rounds only. Undisclosed amounts stay blank and conflicting sources are noted.

Questions

Good to know

Is this every funding round in Southeast Asia?

No. It is every round we found announced in Tech in Asia, TechNode Global or Fintech News. For January to June it has 80 equity rounds; DealStreetAsia and Kickstart counted 217 equity deals and Tracxn 127 rounds for the same months. Trackers that read company-registry filings find small rounds that were never announced.

Which countries and companies are included?

Privately held tech companies that the source describes as based in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste or Vietnam. Listed companies, fund closes, M&A, grants and data-centre project loans are left out; the README lists notable exclusions and why.

Does it include personal data?

No founder or partner names. Investors are organisations; when individuals or angels took part, the row says so without naming anyone.

Will it be updated?

This purchase is Edition 1 (17 October 2026, data to 16 October). We plan monthly editions that add the new month and backfill from more sources, each with its coverage figure. Later editions are a separate purchase and are not sent automatically; the changelog in each file lists what that edition adds.

Can I use it in a report or deck?

Yes. Use it inside your organisation and quote rows, totals and charts with the credit 'Source: SEA Startup Rounds 2026, Plainwork Digital'. Reselling or republishing the dataset itself is not allowed.

Is this investment advice?

No. It is a list of public announcements with their sources, provided as is.

What if it doesn't work for me?
