Know where to launch, and when, with the rules checked

Tell us what you made, who it is for, and your budget and weekly hours. Within 24 hours you get a sourced shortlist of 6 to 10 venues, tested against your constraints, with a week-by-week sequence.

  • Your budget, hours and product age turned into pass or fail tests, with any assumption marked
  • 6 to 10 venues matched to your audience (communities, boards, newsletters, GitHub lists), not a 300-name list
  • Each venue's current rule quoted from its own page, with source URL and fetch date
  • What is free, what is paid, what you cannot use yet, and the date you can (age and invite gates)
  • A week-by-week sequence that adds up to your weekly hours
  • Venue-sized title and tagline drafts with character counts, where the venue allows them
  • A could-not-establish list: every rule we could not read is UNKNOWN, never guessed
  • Delivered on your order page and by email within 24 hours

Sample brief (invented): "Statusbox", a free MIT single-binary status page generator for homelab self-hosters, first release 5 weeks ago, $0 and 3 hours a week. Facts read from the venues' own pages on 2026-10-15. Read the full sample.

The answer first. (1) Do not start with the age-gated lists: awesome-selfhosted asks for a first release "more than 4 months ago", so it goes on a dated calendar; Reddit's r/selfhosted may restrict new projects too, but Reddit refused our fetch, so we state no rule for it and tell you to read the live sidebar. (2) Week 1 is Show HN, week 2 is Product Hunt: Show HN is for "something you've made that other people can play with", and Product Hunt's page, read through a summarising fetcher (not confirmed verbatim), says it is free to use and prohibits company accounts. (3) Lobsters is closed until you have an invite. (4) Five candidate venues were unreadable to us, so they are listed as could-not-establish instead of guessed.

Venue table: six venues, four tests each, 24 cells, every cell a verdict (PASS, FAIL, PARTIAL or UNKNOWN) with a numbered source. Sequence: a four-week plan that adds up to the 3 hours a week in the brief, plus the date the age-gated list opens. Wording: a Show HN title, a Product Hunt tagline and a newsletter description, with character counts that the build script verifies. The awesome-selfhosted entry is left to the buyer, because that list bans machine-written contributions.

Rules from the source

Each rule is a quote from the venue's own page with the date we read it, not a line copied from a listicle.

Gates become dates

Age limits and invite requirements turn into a calendar, so you do not post too early and get ignored or flagged.

Honest about what we cannot read

Sites that block our fetch are marked UNKNOWN. You are told what to check yourself instead of being handed a confident guess.

Fits your hours

The sequence is added up against the time you said you have, and venues you cannot use yet are scheduled, not dropped.

Questions

Good to know

Will you submit or post for me?

No. You do the posting. Several venues ban machine-written submissions and we never create accounts or post for anyone.

Will this get me traffic or sales?

We promise none. We found no source that measured what each venue sends, so the map is about fit, rules and timing, not results.

Is it written by a person?

It is AI-written from public pages fetched on the delivery date, with every rule quoted and dated. It is research, not legal or marketing-performance advice.

What if a site blocks you?

Then that venue goes on a could-not-establish list with no rule given, and we say so. Reddit, Indie Hackers, SaaSHub and AlternativeTo refused our fetch in the sample, and Product Hunt answered only a summarising fetcher, so its rules are labelled unconfirmed.

What if I am not satisfied?

Contact [email protected]; refunds follow the published refund policy.

What if it doesn't work for me?

If it doesn't work as described or you can't access it, email us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you. See the refund policy for details.
