A real 7 by 7 puzzle from the practice set, before you start. Each number says how many bridges end at that island. Join every island into one network with straight horizontal or vertical bridges, one or two between a pair, never crossing. Every puzzle has exactly one answer and can be solved by deduction, without guessing.
When you finish you copy a result like this (an example). It shows the layout of the islands but no bridges or numbers, so nobody is spoiled:

One fair answer
Every puzzle is generated by a program, then checked by two separately written solvers to have exactly one solution, and can be solved by deduction with no guessing.
Honest difficulty
Monday and Tuesday are small and use plain counting. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday need the loop rule, and the generator checks that too, so the week really does climb.
No ads, no account
Nothing to sign up for and no ads. Your streak lives in your own browser. The $4 pass is optional and one-time.
Spoiler-free sharing
Your result shows stars, time, checks, hints and the layout of the islands, never a bridge or a number.

Good to know
Is the daily puzzle really free?
Yes. Today's puzzle is never locked. The pass adds the archive, practice puzzles, full stats and themes.
Does the pass renew?
No. It is a single $4 payment with no subscription. Your key is checked against our key service and remembered in your browser.
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser only (local storage). We keep no accounts and see no personal data. Clearing site data clears streaks.
When does a new puzzle appear?
At midnight on your own device clock, the same puzzle for everyone on that calendar date.
Do I have to guess?
No. Every puzzle is checked to be solvable by deduction alone. If you want help, use a hint (marked on your result), the solving guide, or the free solver that explains any board step by step.
Is it based on another game?
Bridges puzzles (Hashiwokakero, Hashi) are an old puzzle family. Causeway's boards, generator, daily schedule, scoring and interface are our own.
What if it doesn't work for me?
