What you get, and how it is checked

Every board comes from the same generator as the Causeway daily puzzle: it grows a connected network of islands, adds extra links so there are loops, writes each island's number from the bridges it made, then throws the board away unless the solver finds exactly one solution. Boards marked as counting only can be finished with the number and crossing rules alone. Boards marked as needing the loop rule also need the rule that a finished group of islands may not be cut off from the rest. Nothing is sent anywhere: the board is made on your device.

A fair warning: this page checks uniqueness with one solver. The daily puzzles are also checked by a second, independently written counter and a Python one, so if you want that extra assurance, use the daily.
